The Theatre
The theatre is located in Torre del Lago Puccini, Viareggio. A stunning location which hosts one of the italian most important opera festivals. Singers and directors worldwide known, yearly attend this incredible celebration!
The theatre can accommodate up to 600 people very comfortably.
And not just that!
Excellent professional structures for directors, technical services for control rooms, lights, rehearsal rooms. Enjoy the fantastic view on the lake from the fascinating wraparound terrace! Stare at the charming foyer’s architecture and sip a cocktail in the elegant lounge.
You can have dinner in the Theatre’s restaurant if you like.
Inside, remember to have a look at all the exhibitions held in Giacomo Puccini’s honour.
If the sun is shining – which is something that happens really often here in Italy! – have a walk in the outside park, through woods and meadows.
Stop by the garden centre to smell the heady smell of all the botanic herbs.
The Festival – 2018 Edition
This year, the Festival starts on June 6th.
The opening concert is “Messa in Gloria” interpreted by Andrea Bocelli e Gianfranco Montresor.

The Opera is settled in ancient Beijing where the stunning Princess Turandot decided to give every men – who wished to marry her – three riddles. If someone failed, he would have been put to death. Calaf, the hero, was a deposed prince in hiding. The moment he sees Turandot he falls in love with her and he dares to risk his life, despite his father’s and his servant girl Liù’s – secretly in love with him – pleas. Calaf survives the challenges, winning the right to marry her. Turandot is horrified, so our hero gives her a chance: if she will discover his true name by the morning after, she gains the right to execute him. How will the story end?

Floria Tosca tormented love for the painter Cavaradossi and the evil plans of the Chief of Police, Scarpia, who wants her all to himself.
He plans to trick the lovers in order to finally get Tosca in a series of tragic and unfortunate events. A shocking final twist and the deep and thrilling story of pure love, but also lust, loyalty and corruption.
