After many years in the fashion business by creating the brand “El Charro”, the Murzilli family put the same passion in the hospitality business and opened in 1997 Hotelito Desconocido.
Today, back to their home country and to Hotelito Lupaia, which has housed the history of this family since the past century, these “artists of Italian hospitality” have lovingly restored their medieval resort to welcome guests who wish to share the feeling of wellbeing that this special place conveys.
Overlooking the rolling hills of Tuscany, set between Montepulciano and Pienza, this small Charming Hotel, a medieval resort built in the year 1200, features a unique combination of nature and history, blended in total harmony.
The cozy and cheering Relais Hotelito Lupaia is strategically close to the most enchanting historical landmarks such as Siena, Assisi, Montalcino and Arezzo.
The rooms are lavishly decorated with handpainted walls, original wood beams, colourful silk sofas and armchairs. Antique’s furnishing, paintings and chandeliers come from the owner’s private collection.
Most rooms have a working fireplace and all of them have tv, air conditioned, free minibar, telephone and safe.
Facilities include of course the restaurant, where guests can enjoy the original antique Tuscan recipes, privately produced olive oil from our olive groves and wines from the surrounding Brunello di Montalcino and Nobile di Montepulciano vineyards.
Guests come to relax and a state-of-the art outdoor swimming pool overlooking the Val di Chiana is available for Hotelito Lupaia’s guests only.
Cooking classes and ceramic painting lessons and massages are offered onsite, to get a complete immersion in the local Tuscan culture where past and present are blended in complete harmony.
